I don't need to tell you dating has completely revolutionized in the last generation. Women in the workforce, social media, dating apps, and then COVID have all shaped the current dating landscape and for MOST singles...it feels BLEAK
Situationships, ghosting, endless swiping and people STILL asking for your snapchat, it's not looking good.
But then you meet THAT GUY. He's tall, 6'5", trust-fund, blue eyes, (or whatever that silly TT trend said). Inevitably he works in finance and he takes you somewhere NICE.
"Finally, a man with TASTE." He orders the most expensive bottle of wine, steak, AND your *own* dessert.
You laugh together, you brush his hand as you both reach for rolls, and you think to yourself that this might just be your last first date! And as you're caught up in the swooning, he flashes you a smile and reaches for his wallet.
Then suddenly he turns to the waiter and calmly states "we'll be splitting the check..."
GUTTED. You can't believe HE asked you out, ordered all this food, racked up the bill, and then footed you with half and NO INDICATION beforehand. You can afford it--but it's really not about the money. It's about WHY you can't seem to find a guy who understands equal partnership is NOT TRANSACTIONAL!
You just want to meet the guy who can see your income, your assets, your education and success and be both impressed AND STILL WANTS TO IMPRESS YOU! He feels like home, your emotional safe haven--but aggressively dominating in all the *right* places;)
I need you to know: THOSE GUYS EXIST AND THEY ARE OUT THERE! Of course you'll always have the man-babies who are looking to resolve their mommy issues through you, but when you CALIBRATE to the relationship you want (meaning you both know what it looks like, you believe you will have it, AND YOU ACT LIKE IT) you'll find the best ones...
